Nose job recovery- One should know
Rhinoplasty is a cosmetic surgery procedure that improves the nose structure. Rhinoplasty surgery is not as difficult as it looks to recover. It will surely be discomforting in its initial period, but patience and guidance given by your surgeon, if followed religiously is the key to success.
How long is it supposed to take to recover from a nose job, the ideal recovery time of rhinoplasty depends from person to person as several factors contribute for instance the requirement area, what surgical procedures have been put to use, etc.
But one thing that any cosmetic surgeon is sure to recommend is to take off at least 2 weeks from your work life after the surgery. Because it is this period when the discomfort after a nose job is at its peak. And will gradually fade to some extent in this period. Also the most noticeable traces of this surgery like the nose swelling.
During the first week, you would find it difficult to breathe. As your nose will externally be covered with splints and also may be with internal splints. Breathing becomes easier during week 2 when your surgeon removes it. But for now, it is strongly recommended to avoid any kind of hard physical activity. Definitely, sports as that requires heavy breathing.
It is after week 2 that you can resume your normal work life. Restraining yourself from hard physical work, keeping your nose under protection from sunlight (by applying recommended sunscreen) like it for now very sensitive.
It is after a couple of months, generally, 2 or 3 that you notice greater nose job recovery. You can slowly indulge in greater physical hard work and gradually with patience lead to full recovery.
